Brandy E. King, MLIS
Information Specialist

Ms. King is the Information Specialist at CMCH. She is a graduate of Smith College and earned her Masters in Library and Information Science from Simmons College. She oversees all of the information services of CMCH including the websites of CMCH and Video Intervention/Prevention Assessment, the CMCH blog, Ask the Mediatrician, the CMCH newsletter, the CMCH Twitter stream.  Ms. King is also responsible for the creation and maintenance of the CMCH Database of Research.



Ms. King holds board level positions in the Massachusetts Health Sciences Libraries Network, the Boston Smith College Club,
and the Social Science Division of the Special Libraries Association. She was the recipient of the Special Libraries Association's 2005 Innovations in Technology Award for her work with natural language search engines and is the author of Searching for the Concept, Not Just the Word: A Librarian's Guide to Ontologies.
