| CMCH Synopsis: |
In this study, researchers showed a group of preschool-aged participants a single episode of the show Blue's Clues multiple times, investigating the effects of repeated exposure upon viewer attention, recall, and content comprehension. The results indicated that viewer attention remained constant throughout multiple viewings, except among 5 year-old boys. Repeated exposure led to greater comprehension; heightened interactive responses to the show; and greater recall of the show's content. The researchers conclude that program repetition may have great possibilities for education and audience retention. © Center on Media and Child Health
